The House of Lithuania members come in different age groups, backgrounds and nationalities and all have a unique story of how they became members of HoL. Some members were born in Lithuania and came here after WW II as small children, others have immigrated recently, while others are related to Lithuania or Lithuanians by marriage, descent, and/or friendship.
The House of Lithuania relies on its members to participate in the cultural events that are sponsored by HPR International Cottages, contributing their talents and skills to promote a greater knowledge and understanding of Lithuania and its people. Our future goal is to increase our membership and also to acquire a cottage of our own, so that we can continue to improve and expand our participation in the House of Pacific Relations and with all the other nations in Balboa Park.
